For me Self-portraiture is a tool of not only self-expression, but first of all a technique of self-exploration and recognition of your other “self’s”. By putting myself in front of the camera and revealing my vulnerabilities, my emotions, is like going through a confession of my deeper self, the process that might resonate with those living or going through the same experiences of introspection. Opening up my various sides, putting on different “faces” is a way of accepting myself with all the fears, desires, dreams and beauty. Self-portraiture for me is also a great method of artistic growth and a great practice of technical refinement, as well as a deeper connection with my audience.
